There is nothing more enjoyable than coming here to Paul Smith and sharing fiction and non-fictional stories with my students.  Reading to children promotes creativity, imagination, and enhances vocabulary.  Two VERY popular reading series are the "Magic Tree House" series by Mary Pope Osborne and "Junie B. Jones" by Barbara Park, as well as "Diary of a Whimpy Kid" series.

When does my child come to Library?:

Your child comes to our school library once each week with his/her entire class.  We llisten to
stories, discuss them, and do a project related to our weekly theme.  The students here have been very responsible in taking super care of our books, after all, books are treasures!

Can my child bring her/his library books home?

Kindergarten and first grade students do not bring their books home.  Their books are kept in their classroom all week to enjoy.      Second graders can bring home their books for one week, and return them on their library day.

What if we lose a library book?:

If a household consistently fails to return library books, it is possible that your child may lose his privilege to bring home their library books.   Thanks for your understanding so that our collection remains intact.
