This spring we have been working on fractions in math. We learned about adding and subtracting of fractions with like and unlike denominators, names of equivalent fractions, ordering fractions, and converting fractions to percents and decimals. We will be starting a unit on measurement, working with perimeter and area.
In literacy, we will be working on the big question of: "How do we solve problems?" We will be focusing on analyzing story structure, adverbs, multisyllabic words, supporting details, suffixes, cause and effect, negatives, transition words and phrases, drawing conclusions, and combining sentences.
Social Studies has us learning about the Civil War and Reconstruction.
In science, we will be looking at habitats and food chains.
