As we begin our move into the spring season here at Franklin Middle School, we are also still making many new and exciting changes .We have been working very closely to make improvements that will benefit our school and make us one of the greatest middle schools in the state.
We are currently working on our summer school program for July 10th to August 3rd. I want to make sure that parents are aware of the dates so you can plan vacations around the summer school schedule. It is very important to have children attend these programs to help them continue to gain the missing skills and strengthen their abilities.
Each team has planned an event to end the year for their group of children. Here are the dates and activities happening in June. The fifth grade will be going to Whales Tale on June 16th. The fourth grade will be having the Wildlife Encounters come to school on June 14th. The sixth grade will be going to a Fisher Cats game on June 7th. Finally the seventh grade is going to Water Country on June 15th. More information should be coming home from each team in the next few weeks.
June is a very busy month for our graduates. They will be participating in the Class Day Parade on June 12th. Our BBQ is on June 6th with commencement on Tuesday, June 20th. On Monday, June 19th the eighth graders will be traveling to Canobie Lake Park for our last field trip. School closes on Wednesday, June 21st at 12:00. This last day will also be our last awards recognition day for all students who qualify at 9:00. It has been a very exciting year and I look forward to September.
